Following is a letter from an Albanian rationalist who writes but does not wish to reveal a name or an address.  Handwritten words that I could not decipher are denoted by asterisks (*****).

The delay in writing is because after the last pogram at the end of March – I am ethnically "pure" Albanian, but I was against the organized pogram in Kosovo) – I was wounded and my home was partly destroyed.  In just two days 29 non-Albanians were killed, 900 of them were wounded seriously, 561 homes were burned down and 218 were damaged, 35 Christian churches and 2 monasteries (pearls of Medieval architecture and frescoes) damaged, dozens of cemeteries desecrated, and all under the presence of an 18,000 NATO soldiers alliance and UNMIK ***** (a few thousand more).

So the past 5 years since the "peace-keeping" mission arrived here, about 2,300 non-Albanians have been murdered and more than 350,000 non-Albanians were forced to flee from Kosovo.  There were 6,492 attacks against civilians (non-Albanians) in which 1,503 were wounded and 1,318 were kidnapped. The fate of many non-Albanians (Serbs, Macedonians, Gipsies, Turks) is unknown.

Ten months ago NATO generals were calling their mission "a success story". Fighting ethnic cleansing was the reason of the NATO bombing before 1999 but in time when the leader of the PDK Partia Demokratike (an ethnical Albanian) was in Washington talking about "multi-ethnicity and the progress of democracy", the March pogrom was going on, organized from his party, the democrat A KSh, the Kosovo "Protection" Corps and others.

Buses of so-called war veterans , armed to the teeth, were killing and putting afire everything not ethnically pure Albanian. Kosovo Albanians are not religious fundamentalists at all. They are the biggest atheists in the Balkans, but their ambition is to create a purely Albanian ethnic state. They are also manipulating their own people because they want to ***** the rule of their organized crime and their Mafia bosses.

In May Amnesty International sent a warning to the peace-keeping NATO/UN missions in Kosovo that only since the end of war the number of houses of prostitution had grown by more than 40 times. The Albanian Mafia is ***** involved with human traffic and drugs and ***** the new dates is stronger than the Italian Mafia groups. Only the Russian Mafia is able to be compared with them.

We have sent letters to Prof. Kuvakin (Moscow), Kirkhart (Los Angeles), the IHEU (London) in May but we never received any kind of responses from them.

We do not have friends abroad. The [snail-mail] address which we are using is that of a humanitarian activist ***** few hospitals here, so that was the only help.
